Sherlock Holmes (Tv Show)

I was constantly being pressurized by my peers to watch the Sherlock Holmes tv show. I succumbed and decided to give it a try. Result : Mind completely blown apart. This show, rated 9.3 by IMDb is completely inimitable and addictive. Your senses are in overdrive while watching the show itself. Intuition, suspicion, terror, arrogance, care.. you name it this show has it, except for romance..its more of ahh bromance :P.  3 seasons, 9 episodes released till date.  Each episode is about 1.5 hours but believe, me it won't take more then 5 days to finish all 3 season. Hell I am on my 6th episode on the second day itself. If you haven't watched it, well ..watch it ?

I have an idea sort of forming in my head, an inimitable one. I am not going to disclose it right now, but if I think it will be successful I will not fail to abdicate it, and well lets just leave it at that you all might feel like the guy living in 221 B Baker Street, London. ;)

App development

From ENIAC, to microprocessors, to tablets the definition of recent technology and upcoming technology is going through emphatic changes. Right now the definition is plain and simple : Apps. Everyone downloads them, uses them. Currently, the emphatic way of making money is by developing apps. All that is needed is a flash of an idea. So here are the three main programming languages by which apps are developed -

  • C# - Used for developing apps for the Windows mobile OS.
  • Java - Used for developing apps for the Android OS.
  • Objective C - Used for developing apps for the iOS operating system.
Now, the brain twisting question ? Which language is the best ? Well, first and foremost it depends for which OS you want to develop it for. According to me ,Java is the path to take. Android is an upcoming OS and is used by the majority of smart phone users. It is also the most job demanding.

If anyone has any ideas that they want to develop, please comment below so that we can discuss about it and develop it together.

Tragic Day for Anand : Game 9 of the World Chess Championship

Well, the World Chess Championship has almost come to end. Today, we finished Game 9 of the 12 game epic. A tragic, tragic day for the Anand. Losing 5-3 in the series, and a win in dire need, Anand manages to get a winning position and manages to put Carlsen in somewhat of a pickle. But the excitement and tensions finally caught up to him resulting in a brutal blunder, that ended the match immediately. Poor Vishy. You should have seen the look on his face. It resolved into emotions the moment he played Nf1. He knew what he had done. It was so sad. A simple miscalculation. Let me tell you, being a chess player myself, the feeling and elation of get a winning position and then the blundering move leaves you in tears. The feeling is simply horrendous and demotivating. For Anand though, the feeling will be much, much worse.

All hats of to Carlsen though. A mastermind. A genius. My role model. The 22 year old , Norwegian has simply swept all the chess records off the table and has raised chess to whole other level. A level that only he has been able to conquer. That's it, he is the next ambassador of chess. And I would just like to congratulate him on his artful style of playing.

The Importance of Vision

Puberty is a difficult time in anyone's life. This is the time where your actions, behavior and thoughts decide your future. The moment where you get distracted and go astray. Distractions, which I will not take the slightest liberty to delve into. Ironically, these 6-7 years is the time when the brain is the most active and is eager, curious and has an interest to find out ALL kinds of things, and thus come the distractions. This is where aim comes into the picture. As long as you have a set goal in your mind, which you will strive to achieve things will not be in disarray. Your mind will wander about, which is not a bad thing, its normal but somewhere at the back of your mind this  goal should be there hovering around, powering you back to reality and what you have to do. This vision of yours, will transfer you back to your correct path on which you will walk and strive for excellence. This path, your mission. Remember walking in a straight line is impossible, there will be a few turns and stumbles here and there but this vision of yours, will always, you will find return you to this lighted path that leads to your success. Your vision, your mission gives meaning to your life, without which life is meaningless. This is real power of vision. It is what differentiates the good from the evil. It is the mission which makes the vision viable and a success. Proper guidance forms the vision, the vision creates the mission, the mission gives life.

Happy Diwali !!

Well, one of the most awaited days of the year has arrived. The Festival of Lights ! The last three days or in fact the last whole week must have been very busy. Lot of bustling activity, to make this day perfect and memorable. Going to fair's, eating food, buying candler, diya's, decorative pieces etc. Meeting family and friends and playing card games and Bingo ! Having a hell of a time ! Though there were a lot of traffic jams sadly. Anyway, well Happy Diwali ! Don't burst too many crackers and have a blast :)
